How to Answer “Describe a Person” in IELTS Speaking Part 2
One of the most frequent IELTS Speaking Part 2 cue cards asks you to describe a person you admire, know, or have met. Here’s how to handle it:
Structure

- Why you admire/respect them
Sample Answer
I’d like to describe my university professor, Dr. Khan. I met him during my first semester and he has inspired me ever since. He teaches environmental engineering and explains complex topics in a very simple, engaging way. I admire his dedication to teaching and the way he encourages students to think critically. Thanks to him, I became more passionate about my major and even joined research projects outside class.
